The EMSP Design Team will continue to work on the concept, planning and installation of a WEST END GATEWAY SIGN (Cedar Crest & Chestnut Streets).

 

The EMSP has teamed up with the Borough to conduct a borough-wide COMMUNITY SURVEY and will use the results to help make Emmaus an even better place to shop, dine & explore!

 

BUSINESS WORKSHOPS, hosted by the EMSP, will kick off in February with a presentation by the Small Business Development Center.

 

Throughout the year the EMSP BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM will continue its work with property owners, realtors and investors to bring new and expanding businesses to Emmaus.

 

The EMSP ANNUAL MEETING will be held in February for all supporters and contributors.

 

The new 2010 EMSP FAÇADE PROGRAM will kick off in the spring. (contingent upon the EMSP receiving the PA DCED funds)

 

The 5th ANNUAL EMSP GOLF CLASSIC will be held in May at Woodstone Country Club.

 

GUIDED TOURS of Emmaus Churches, Historic Properties and Homes, hosted by the EMSP, will be offered throughout the spring and early summer.

 

A new STREETSCAPE PROJECT will be identified and researched.

 

Another EMSP BUSINESS WORKSHOP will be offered in June.

 

The 1st ANNUAL EMSP OCTOBERFEST is scheduled for early October.

 

October will also see another EMSP BUSINESS WORKSHOP.

 

And the year will wrap up with the traditional

OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION.

 

 

All  this and more, as we continue to work with and for the residents,  businesses, and property owners of Emmaus.

The Emmaus Main Street Program was officially incorporated in 1995 as a non-profit program to support and revitalize the Emmaus' historic downtown. Funding was provided by the state Department of Community and Economic Development with initial matching funds provided by the Borough of Emmaus.

 
Founded by the National Trust for Historic Preservation in early 1980's, Main Street Programs incorporate historic preservation, community consensus building, and volunteer effort to attain community and economic development.

 

Our Mission Statement:  “To lead the continued comprehensive revitalization of a vibrant and active community by involving our business owners and residents in the common goals of economic development, planning, historic preservation and tourism.”
