Repertory Dance Theatre and Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy
Dancers of all ages are invited to attend Repertory Dance Theatre and Dolly Haltzman Dance Academy’s summer dance classes. Starting June 20th and running through the month of July classes in ballet, pointe, contemporary, tap and jazz will be offered. A Princess camp will be offered the week of July 11th.

Watch participating artists chalk our walks! (If you’d like to be an artist, there’s a $5 entrance fee – no fee to be a spectator and have some fun watching the sidewalks come alive!) Final bids for our annual Rain Barrel Art Silent Auction will be taken and bid winners will be announced during Chalk the Walk!
On Wednesday, May the 4th, at 6:30 pm – Lehigh Valley Martial Arts will be teaching a light saber seminar at 6:30 pm at the Promenade Barnes and Noble store to celebrate “May the 4th be with you” – it is free to ages 4-10 – Space is Limited – Please contact Miss Lorraine at 610 966-2234 to reserve your light saber. There will also be classes for the new Star Wars X-wing game.
Join Lehigh Valley Martial Arts for reading time at Barnes & Noble Promenade location – Thursday, May 19th at 10:30 am – all attendees will receive a free introductory course that can be used at any of our locations.

Community Heroes Walkway Ceremony
The Emmaus Public Library and the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation will again celebrate Community Heroes Day on Thursday, September 8, 5:00pm.
Bricks to honor police officers, firefighters or ambulance corp. members can be designed, ordered and purchased at the Remembrance Garden website www.emmausremembers.org
The Community Heroes 4×8 bricks are available starting at $65.
Bricks must be ordered by Sunday, July 17 to be here in time for the September 8 ceremony.
After the brick installation and dedication, the celebration of our heroes continues at the Emmaus Public Library when the annual Community Heroes Day festivities run from 6:00 p.m. until dark. Kids of all ages can climb on a fire truck, look inside an ambulance and sit in a police car.

Mitch creates prints using his unique clay slab monoprint process in addition to creating sculptural clay pieces. His work has been exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, numerous other US museums and internationally in Sweden and Germany.

After election of board members, Bill Barto presents “The Emaus Plane Crash of 1935”.
Hear and see the story of May 10, 1935 when a single engine airplane, piloted by prominent Emaus resident Attorney Carl Iobst, crashed into the South Second Street home of Paul Rinker and immediately burst into flame.
Information will be presented as it relates to the history of our museum.

The bus leaves the Weis Market parking lot in Emmaus promptly at 6:30AM to arrive at the festival shortly after it opens, and leaves the festival to return to Emmaus promptly at 4:30PM.
